The Cornwall Sports Partnership (CSP) is a partnership of organisations working together to make sport a part of everyday life in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly including the sectors of health, education, local government, National Governing Bodies of Sport, police and the economy. We work with our partners to sustain and increase participation in community sport throughout Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly. Community sport is widely defined and includes informal activity such as recreational walking and cycling, new sports such as skateboarding through to more traditional team sports like rugby and netball. They stage the Sports Awards, Cornwall Corporate Games, Manage Sports projects like the Healthy Active Lifestyles Project (HALP) provide training, courses and workshops and support for funding.

The Silvanus Trust is committed to regenerating the woodlands in the South West for economic, social and environmental benefits. We have worked for over twenty years, often in partnership with other organisations, statutory and voluntary, to promote and increase the potential of woodlands in the south west to support greater rural economic activity for the benefit of local communities, businesses and the environment. The support includes grant aid, advice, and help with training and skills development. The projects have involved all aspects of forestry including woodland management, timber processing, and community woodland and education activities.
The SMART Women Project launched their first course last week. A total of 41 women are attending the programme with 27 at Camborne and 14 at the St Austell campus. There are two course pathways and we currently have 26 women studying the level 3 Chartered Management Institute qualification in ‘Business Start-up’ and 15 women attending the Institute of Directors toolkit.
