The Cornish Fisheries Producers Organisation began in 1976 as a non-profit making co-operative, and today consists of 210 fishing vessel-owning members from all over Cornwall. The European Grants Centre was established in 1991 to advise UK firms and charities on obtaining financial aid from the multitude of schemes now available to them from European, UK Government, and local sources. The Centre is privately-funded, providing free advice and consultancy services on a success-based fee structure.
